Introduction 

SciELO is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all people, regardless of their abilities. Digital accessibility is a priority for SciELO, and we are constantly working to improve everyone's experience.

Adopted Accessibility Standards 

This website follows the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) at Level AA. These guidelines are internationally recognized and ensure that content is accessible to all people.

However, the accessibility of published articles is the responsibility of each journal, including their respective PDF versions. SciELO does not guarantee that all content fully meets certain accessibility standards. SciELO demonstrates its commitment to accessibility through its navigation interface and encourages journals to adopt inclusive guidelines in content production, especially when submitting files in more accessible XML and PDF formats, thus ensuring access to scientific information for the largest possible number of readers.

Additionally, we are aware of the launch of the new ABNT NBR 17225 standard and are actively working to adapt this website to that standard.

We are committed to ensuring that all institutional documents available on the website comply with accessibility best practices. Currently, we are working to convert all PDFs to an accessible format, following guidelines such as the PDF/UA standard (ISO 14289). Our goal is to provide an inclusive experience for all people, regardless of their needs.
